The Government announcement declaring tyres as a priority product has gained support from some of the biggest players in the industry.
The Motor Trade Association and Bridgestone have both welcomed the move by Government to introduce regulated product stewardship for end-of-life tyres, and voiced their support for Tyrewise.
The announcement is long awaited, with the tyre industry having led work on a stewardship scheme since 2012.
